Dr Rhonda Cumberland
Dr Rhonda Cumberland is South East Community Links’ inaugural CEO following the successful amalgamations of the Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau (SCAAB), the Dandenong Community Advisory Bureau (DCAB) and the Southern Ethnic Advisory and Advocacy Council (SEAAC).
Rhonda has recently completed a six-year period as the inaugural CEO of Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand. She played a key role in creating Good Shepherd Microfinance (GSM) in 2011. GSM is now the strongest voice for financial inclusion and accountability in Australia. She has a wealth of experience in community services.
Before leaving Good Shepherd she managed the restructure of the Good Shepherd network. She had previously been the state director of the Office for Women in the Victorian state government, where she played a major role in developing the integrated family violence service system. This followed six years as Executive Director of the Victorian Domestic Violence Crisis Service.
Of her professional goals, Rhonda highlights the need to support the community sector to continue to provide integrated services to increasingly diverse communities and these services should aim to contribute to new economic opportunities for the community as well as social justice.
General Manager Organisational Development
Jinny has over 30 years’ experience as a social worker and manager. She has worked in a variety of fields including housing, education, disability, family counselling, local government, community education and also served as a Tribunal member on the Migration Review and Social Security Appeals Tribunals
She has a long history of involvement in her community, serving on many committees and as an elected councillor for the former City of Springvale. Her leadership and involvement were recognised in 2003 by her selection into the Williamson Community Leadership Program.
Jinny worked for a number of years as a program manager at Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau before moving to Dandenong Community Advisory Bureau where she served as a manager for nearly 7 years prior to the amalgamation.
General Manager Services & Strategy
Chris is a qualified CPA in financial management and corporate governance for over 25 years with senior finance roles in various global organisations across a range of industry types from retail/wholesale to corporate banking, government and community service.
Prior to joining SECL Chris lived in the UK for over 10 years and headed up the client billing role at Pershing (a subsidiary of Bank of New York) with operations in both London, UK and Chennai, India. Specific field of expertise is in revenue capture and new business, client billing processing and price remodelling. Primary objectives include advancing automative techniques, safeguarding internal controls and the streamlining of administrative processes including the adoption of overseas/offshore solutions.
